Deadlines for submissions

When should I submit it...


This time frame table is to provide you with an idea of when you should be submitting your request.  Remember requests can never be expedited and are always processed in the order received. During high volume periods, processing time may be longer.
 
Request Submit by:
Change of Address within 10 days
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) Before the Add/Drop date of each semester
Post-Optional Practical Training (OPT) May apply up to 90 days before you
complete your degree, but no later than 60 days
after you complete your degree.
STEM OPT - extension May apply up to 90 days before your current OPT
employment authorization expires.
Transfer Out 14 business days before the intended transfer out date
Travel Signature 14 business days before the intended travel date 
On-Campus Employment 3 weeks before to intended start date 
 â–ºEach request has its own evidence/documentation requirements for processing.  Make sure you read the site for each request to familiarize yourself with the requirement and eligibility. Do not click on Apply Now until you have the required documentation for download and have the time to complete your request. Remember to click on the submit button at the top of the request page.
