We are excited that you have chosen to pursue your degree at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

This is your guide you through the important steps you need to take to enroll in classes and prepare for the beginning of your academic year. Here you will find information about the visa application process, preparing for travel, arriving at FDU, registering for courses, and much more.

1. Activate your FDU NetID and email Account
This email is the official address to which the university sends all email communications. 

2. Request your I-20 and apply for your Visa
International students who wish to pursue their students at FDU must obtain an F-1 visa.  

3. Complete the following task:
Confirm your Enrollment - confirm your intent to enroll at FDU by submitting your $   tuition deposit.  
Submit Immunization record/Health forms
Take your Placement tests
Complete pre-orientation 

5. Submit your housing deposit and complete the housing application
If you plan to live on campus, make your housing deposit as soon as possible

6. Schedule academic advising appointment and register for classes

8.Make travel arrangements
You are expected to arrive in the U.S. for International Student Orientation.  You may not enter the U.S. more than 30 days prior to the start date listed on your SEVIS I-20 Form or DS-2019.  If you are not able to arrive by the first day of classes due to travel or visa delays, you must contact
