Orientation
Each request has its own evidence/documentation requirements for processing.  Make sure you read the site for each request to familiarize yourself with the requirement and eligibility.

When you are ready to begin, please click Apply Now and follow instructions in the program.  Remember to click on the Submit button at the top of the request page once you are ready to submit your request for processing.  If you have questions, please email ISS@fdu.edu.

Requests are processed in the order received. During high volume periods, processing time may be longer.  We appreciate your patience and we recommend advanced planning whenever possible.


F-1 Status Maintenance Requests:


► Change of Address - Submit within 10 days of the change of your address in the United States.

► Change of Educational Level or Program: please email ISS@fdu.edu if you are in a new, combined or accelerated degree program and need to update your I-20.

► Program Extension - Submit 30 days before the end date on Form I-20

► I-20 Reprint

► Less than Full-time (Reduced Course Load) - Submit at the beginning of the Semester and before Add/Drop date if you are not enrolled full-time.
 
► Status Verification Letter Request

► Transfer Out Request - For Post OPT and STEM extension participants ONLY.  Students still completing a degree program must email ISS@fdu.edu.  Submit 14 days BEFORE the intended transfer out date. 

► Travel Signature 
 

On-Campus Employment: 

► Social Security Request Letter - Submit 14 days BEFORE the intended start date

Off-Campus Training Opportunities:

► Curricular Practical Training - Submit BEFORE the Add/Drop date of each semester.  
 

After Program Completion Training Opportunities: 

For all Post OPT & STEM OPT:  To avoid delays, before submitting a request to ISS, make sure you have paid the OPT Service Fee (valid for one year)

► Pay Post OPT & STEM OPT Service Fee - Your fee will be valid for one year after payment has been received and posted to your account.  After you receive your payment confirmation, please upload a copy of the confirmation here

► Post-Optional Practical Training - For Employer reporting and other Post OPT services

► STEM OPT Extension - For Validations, Change of Employer, Changes to Form I-983, Transfer out Request
